I was born in San Juan Puerto Rico moved to Gainesville Florida in 1998 and was diagnosed that same year. I have a 27 year old son Jose. My husband Michael is 1/2 of my life. MS affects people in different ways. For me the heat. In some is the cold weather.
Socializing with people that is something I love to do but do not have that much of opportunity because I am home most of the time. Multiple sclerosis is a chronic, unpredictable disease of the central nervous system. More than 2.3 million people are affected by MS worldwide. Most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50. Women are much more likely to develo0p MS than men. There is no evidence MS is directly inherited. It is very challenging to diagnose MS. No two people have exactly the same symptoms. MS symptoms can be invisible. The majority of people with MS do not become severely disabled. MS has no cure.
With motor skills with my hands… Not sure if you noticed but how slow I was handling the needle at moments…
How people react to this disease I describe it with ignorance because they don’t understand. They rather assume and just go blah blah and say ah well she is pretty and just taking advantage of that handicap sticker rather than covering their mouth and moving on.
The 352Creates event was wonderful, everyone that as passing by had to stop. Great talent. I was very exited. It was an exercise in so many ways for me. My smile expressed it all ha! – Dania Magee.
The MS walk will be held at Kanapaha Veterans Memorial Park on April 16th, from 9AM – 12PM. Please, support! For more information visit Dania Magee page.
